question

I'm still fairly new to the world of the digital camera, so my question to those of you with more experience is this: how do you store your pictures? Do you worry about your computer crashing and losing all of your photos? Do you chuck them onto a CD and keep it somewhere, or on a USB stick, or are they floating around in cyber space? Where are they safest?

I have a flickr account, but in order to fit many photos on there they have to be shrunk, so were I to print those photos the quality may not be so great, from what I understand.

Help me!

I usually do a mixture of both. I have my pics on my computer to my photo site (in my case kodak) and they will also put them on a cd too They are also soooooo much cheaper than london drugs.

So usually i get them developed and when i do they go on a cd, and i will also have them uploaded on my pc too both on my desktop and/or a sharing photosite for others to view and buy if they want. The ones uploaded to the photosite are the bigger higher qaulity slides. I use the 'thumbs' for sending through email.

Hope that was somewhat helpful.

I usually leave them on my camera until the thing's full, then send them to my computer.

If I really want to keep them, I'll burn my own CDs of them. Or if I want prints, I'll throw them on a memory stick and toddle up to LD at lunch. CDs are probably the safest way to go - just remember to label them.

Personally, not comfortable with my pics floating around in cyberspace, hence no flickr account.

The more you love the pictures, the more places you should store them in...

... me, I'm oddly not attached to pictures, which explains the fact that I have a single photo album for my highschool-til-four-years-ago life, a bunch of photos stacked in a Muppet Show lunchbox, and various pics on my hard drive and nowhere else.

Oh, wait... I made a blog just for uploading some pictures that I wanted to have access to online. I don't remember why.. oh, wait, it had to do with Burning Man message boards.

PS - zipper is half done.. I'm just feeling challenged, and doing it by hand, and taking my time to do it to the best of my ability. Maybe delivered tomorrow, or Thursday...

It was my sister's.. I think mine was a Dukes of Hazard box... dunno what happened to it. This one is in nothing resembling mint condition, but the latch still works :)
